Dead Stream Kennel is located in Northern Michigan and specializes in raising and training of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, a dual-purpose dog. We strive for correct conformation, a natural ability to hunt, and a sound temperament.
Chesapeake Bay Retrievers (Chessies)
are An extremely versatile dog
Although their main purpose is Waterfowl hunting. They can also excel in upland hunting, obedience, agility, dock diving, scent work and the list goes on.
One of our Chessies was trained to follow blood trails to recover injured deer and two of our Chessies have therapy licences!
